Dacorum is one of 14 councils across England to be partaking in MHCLG’s pilot programme for the National Model Design Code. 

A design code will set out design principles for new development in Dacorum and will be expected to enhance the character of the local area and ensure future design quality – meaning developments are beautiful, well designed and locally led.

The Paradise / Wood Lane Industrial Estate will be the case study for testing how applied design codes in Hemel Hempstead could improve the neighborhood providing a high quality mixed use development with new homes.
